Weekend Filming with Cam

This past weekend while the rest of the team was in Kamloops getting their race on Cam and I decided to take the time to get some riding and filming done. We have been talking about it for a while but school and exams and weather have been getting in our way. So on Saturday we departed for Squamish to meet up with Paul Sales in Squamish. He has been going to Quest University and riding all the trails daily after school so he knows the goods.

Next we hit up Arduum out in Mission, in my opinion one of the best trails/ tracks in the area. The hike up is a slugfest but the trail down is well worth it. We had the idea to shoot all the fun sections of the track but that turned out to be a challenge because all the parts are pretty much good. It ended up taking us almost 5hours to make it down but I think the footage we got was worth it.

Mountain Biking

The other day went over to Cypress for a few laps with Dobie in between exams. Aaron has been doing a lot of gym training in the offseason and I could hardly keep up! We also met up with big Kevin who was using his Hammerschmidt to the max onboard his Banshee Legend Mk3.

NW Cup #1

Last weekend was the first round of the Northwest Cup at Port Angeles, Washingon. The track is always rutty and amazing and this weekend we were racing a track that is one of my personal favourites. Pretty good flow all the way down with some good gaps and ruts to keep it fun.

We were lucky enough to get a beauty of an afternoon to travel down there and the ferry ride over there is one of the best with amazing views of the Olympic Mountains.

Saturday morning practice was interesting. I usually have a good crew to practice with but this time it was just me ripping and laughing it up with my fellow Cat I shredders. Its usually hilarious to talk to these guys and hear how drunk they got the night before. Pretty much a contest to see who is the biggest dirtbag racer.

After my race run Sunday, decided it would be fun to do a run through the little dual track where there was a whip off taking place. First run down, busted out a nac nac and ended up sprocket junkin' it but it was all good.
